Mozes Rosenberg

Mozes Rosenberg was born into the famous Rosenberg family. He started playing guitar at the age of 6. His teachers were his father Mimer, his brother Stochelo and uncle Waso Grünholz. At the age of 7, he was already playing on Dutch television with The Rosenberg Trio. After that, he was inspired by many famous musicians, such as flamenco legend Paco de Lucia, whom he met in 1996. A few years later, he met American guitarist and singer George Benson. Mozes soon developed into an excellent and in-demand solo guitarist.

Mozes has performed at many prestigious international festivals, including Jazz in Marciac, North Sea Jazz, Festivale de Guitare de Patrimonio, Festival Jazz Sous les Pommiers, Dutch Jazz Awards and the Amersfoort World Jazz Festival. In spring 2024, he will play at the Jazz Marathon Hong Kong and the Sicilia Jazz Festival, among others. He has also played in Dutch theatres and jazz clubs such as Ronnie Scotts and PizzaExpress London, Bimhuis Amsterdam, Le Duc des Lombards Paris etc. Mozes Rosenberg is the latest guitar genius from the Rosenberg dynasty, the most important family in gypsy jazz.

Mozes constantly seeks to broaden within the music and regularly performs with e.g. jazz guitarist Anton Goudsmit, clarinettist Giacomo Smith, violinist Jelle van Tongeren and flamenco guitarist Rafael Cortés. When he performs with his brother Stochelo, the result is guitar playing of truly unprecedented level.

He is a phenomenal musician with a great talent for improvisation. A master on the guitar who has developed broadly musically. From the first note, Moses impresses with razor-sharp, grooving and inspiring guitar playing. Played with carelessness and breathtaking virtuosity. Exciting solos, non-stop swinging with surprising breaks, synchronous lines that make every performance a treat. His. current repertoire includes jazz and pop standards, own compositions and gypsy jazz classics.
